Our packaging

Packaging

Caudalie’s commitment is also reflected in a sustainable approach to its packaging. Every day, a team of packaging engineers develop increasingly innovative solutions that follow the rule of the 3R's: reduce, recycle, reuse.

Our objective is to minimize the environmental impact of our packaging by rethinking every material and every format, so that all our packaging is recycled and/or recyclable and/or refillable.

Reduce

To reduce material usage, Caudalie aims to lighten the weight and volume of its packaging, while promoting the use of recycled materials over the production of new ones.

100%

of our tubes are recyclable and/or made of recycled plastic(1)

By incorporating recycled plastic in our tubes, mainly from agri-food sectors (such as recycling milk bottles, water or carbonated drinks).

Reduced use of virgin plastic by 21%(2)

Why Does Caudalie Still Use Plastic?

Plastic remains a lightweight, solid material that is compatible with Caudalie skincare formulas. However, every effort is made to reduce its use:
- By removing virgin plastic as soon as possible, and incorporating more recycled plastic
- By making packaging lighter

Recycle

Caudalie’s products packaging is designed to be recyclable through selective waste collection, but some components remain difficult to recycle… we are working on it!

Caudalie is innovating to reduce its environmental impact through refillable products.

As of 2025, there are now 7 refillable products, and Caudalie continues to develop these solutions as a core part of its eco-design strategy.

(1) Excluding laminated tubes. (2) On the entire volume of plastic used in our products, excluding Spa and secondary logistics packaging, over a 3-year period from 2020 to 2023. (3) Recyclability rate assessed using CITEO’s TREE framework. Recyclable products = Score between A and C. (4) These figures are calculated on the basis of the estimated amount of packaging saved for manufacturing the refill versus the full retail jar.
