Out With the Old, In With the New… Same Disappointment

I purchased the new flat bottle version of Thé des Vignes in France on May 4th, hoping the fragrance experience would be different. Unfortunately, I am still deeply disappointed. In response to my previous complaint, Caudalie stated: “We are always working to reformulate and improve our products to ensure the best possible quality, efficacy and compliance regulations.” Well, whatever this reformulation was supposed to achieve, it certainly did not improve the scent or its longevity. The fragrance still fades almost instantly and no longer has the elegant, lingering scent that made me fall in love with it years ago. Sadly, my April 2026 review still stands. I will therefore no longer purchase this product, nor will I continue offering / recommending it to friends and relatives as gifts, as I had faithfully done up until December 2025. What a disappointment.

The love affair is over

I’ve loved and worn this fragrance for many years. Compliments left and right. Recently bought a new bottle and, like many previous reviewers, I can hardly smell it. This has become a very different product…a fragrance with almost no scent. I’m so disappointed that I can no longer buy one of my favorites anymore. I hope caudalie considers returning to their previous formula.

A quiet luxury

I have always loved fragrances. This is a very light unlike my others, it’s one of those fragrance that is not overpowering but there. I do spritz this over my neck and hair, and it smells amazing.

Waste of money

Caudalie, What Happened to Thé des Vignes? Bring Back the Original Formula. I have been a loyal user of Thé des Vignes Fresh Fragrance since 2018, when I first discovered it during a trip to Paris. I instantly fell in love with its light, elegant scent, and continued purchasing it in the U.S. without hesitation. Unfortunately, something has changed. The fragrance I recently received as a Christmas gift, part of a set with a shower gel and candle, is not the same. The scent is noticeably different, and more importantly, it does not last at all. Whether applied to skin or clothing, it fades almost immediately. What was once a signature fragrance that earned compliments has become little more than a fleeting hint of water and alcohol. At this price point, I can no longer justify purchasing it. Caudalie, I urge you to revisit the original formula. With summer approaching, this was once the perfect fresh scent—now it lacks the staying power and character that made it special. Until the original quality is restored, I will not be repurchasing. We, your customers, are the reason for your success. It’s time to listen to us.
